Preseason NFL Scores Week 1 2015 Part 2

NFLRavens 30-27 Saints

Quarterback Joe Flacco and his backup Matt Schaub led the scoring drives in the first quarter as the Ravens beat the Saints 30-27 in New Orleans, Drew Brees, the star quarterback of the Saints, was not brought to the party by coach Sean Payton.

Brees took part in the exercises before the game, but remained on the bench after the kickoff, instead we saw a Luke McCown starting as the Saints QB, and when the Saints made their first attempt the Ravens were already on the scoreboard with a 17-0 lead, Joe Flacco with 33 yards, five successful passes in six attempts, Matt Schaub had 11 passes out of 18, one for a 45 yard to the end zone and an interception.

Lions 23-3 Jets

Quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a 35 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Golden Tate, and rookie running back Ameer Abdullah racked up 67 yards, 45 on a single play to spice up the Lions team into beating the Jets 23-3, New York is showing once again an offensive team that remains as their big weakness, Stafford threw for 57 yards, completing only two pass attempts, both for Tate. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick played a series for the Jets, completing 2 out of 3 passes for 16 yards and lead the Jets for a field goal.

The Jets start a preseason after a tumultuous week, last Tuesday they lost their starting quarterback Geno Smith after he suffered a broken jaw after being beaten by his teammate Ikemefuna Enemkpali, whom the team fired immediately.

Patriots Packers 22-11

Quarterback Tom Brady was barely a part of this defeat from the Packers star Aaron Rodgers, who in the other hand played a major role commanding the Green Bay team he completed 11 out of 19 passes for 117 yards against the New England defense, Alonzo Harris added a 25-yard touchdown for the defending champions of the National Conference (NFC) Division.

Jimmy Garoppolo the Patriots backup quarterback completed 20 out of 30 passes for 159 yards with no “touchdowns”, an interception and he was sacked seven times throughout the game, Garoppolo would take charge in the QB position if if any part of the four-game suspension for the Most Valuable Player in the last Super Bowl is held.
