Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova was discharged from the hospital Wednesday after being treated overnight for severe cramping following a win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night, Dellavedova turned in another huge performance, playing 38 minutes and scoring 20 points in the Cavaliers 96-91 win, the Cavs now lead the Finals 2-1, with Game 4 on Thursday night in Cleveland, Cavaliers coach David Blatt said Dellavedova and Iman Shumpert (shoulder) will play in Game 4.
Dellavedova experienced severe cramping after the game Tuesday and received an IV in the locker room. He then was taken to the Cleveland Clinic by ambulance, filling in for already injured point guard Kyrie Irving for the past two games, Dellavedova has 29 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, another injured Shumpert suffered a left shoulder contusion in the first quarter after running into a screen set by Warriors forward Draymond Green.
Cleveland is already without point guard Kyrie Irving (knee) and power forward Kevin Love (shoulder) and sidestepped more misfortune when guards Iman Shumpert (shoulder) and Matthew Dellavedova (severe dehydration) had issues in Game 3.
