The Toronto Blue Jays are currently 14 to 1 to win the 2013 World Series and the way that they are adding key players that price just might keep going down. The Blue Jays have been very busy this offseason and they might have one assembled of the best pitching staffs in all of major league baseball. Starting with last year’s Cy Young winner R A Dickey who signed a multi-year contract that with incentives could net him up to a cool $30 million! Last year with the Mets Dickey turned 38 years old he went 20-6 with a 2.76 ERA, and 230 total strike outs over 233 innings. Dickey is the first knuckleballer to win this prestigious award!
Next up is Josh Johnson the former Miami Marlin is looking to make a new start with the Blue Jays and get back to his winning ways of 2009. In 2009 Johnson won 15 games with the Marlins and Toronto fans are hoping that a change in scenery can be exactly what he needs!
The Blue Jays also landed Mark Buehrle from the Marlins in a tough year for the Marilns with minimal run support Buehrle still managed to win 13 games. Buehrle pitched most of his career with the Chicago White Sox and in 2002 he was a 19 game winner. The Blue jays are looking for big things from the big left hander!
This bolsters up a staff that consisted of Brandon Morrow, J A Happ, and Ricky Romero it remains to be seen which one of them will step up and be a part of the starting rotation.
